The Atlanta Braves are on the hunt for pitching help ahead of the trade deadline, and one name stands above the rest: Detroit Tigers left-hander Tarik Skubal. While the market is full of rental arms and mid-rotation options, Skubal offers something the Braves desperately need: a frontline starter with multiple years of control.

Skubal has been dominant since returning from flexor tendon surgery in 2023. This season, he has posted a 2.50 ERA with a strikeout rate that ranks among the league's best. His fastball sits in the mid-90s, and his changeup has become one of the most effective pitches in baseball.
