UT Arlington Teams Face Busy Week of Competition
October 6, 2026 - 12:54
The UT Arlington athletic department has a full slate of events scheduled from Tuesday through Oct. 12, with volleyball, tennis and golf teams all in action.
The volleyball team continues its conference schedule with matches that could shape its standing in the league race. The Mavericks have shown flashes of strong play this season and will look to string together consistent performances as the season moves deeper into October.
On the tennis courts, the program is set for another week of competition as players continue to build their games through fall match play. These events give athletes a chance to sharpen their skills and gain valuable experience against outside opponents.
The golf team also returns to tournament play, with the Mavericks aiming to post strong team scores and individual finishes. Fall tournaments serve as an important measuring stick before the spring season arrives.
Fans can follow all the action through the university's official athletic channels. With three sports competing at once, this week offers plenty of opportunities to support UT Arlington teams on the road to postseason play.
