Ravens linebacker Roquan Smith has been penalized with a fine of $35,822 following two notable infractions during the recent game against the Buffalo Bills. One of the violations involved a facemask penalty committed against quarterback Josh Allen, a play that drew significant attention from officials and fans alike. The second infraction was a hit on a defenseless player, which is strictly regulated under league rules to protect player safety.

This fine highlights the ongoing emphasis the league places on player safety, particularly regarding hits that can lead to serious injuries. Smith's aggressive style of play has earned him recognition on the field, but it also comes with the risk of incurring penalties. As the Ravens prepare for their next matchup, Smith will need to adjust his approach to avoid further fines and ensure he remains a key asset for his team. The Ravens will be looking to maintain their momentum as they navigate the rest of the season.
