Eagles Secure Narrow Win Over Jets in Preseason Clash
August 23, 2025 - 02:05
In a tightly contested preseason matchup, the Philadelphia Eagles triumphed over the New York Jets with a final score of 19-17. Quarterback Kyle McCord showcased his skills by leading the Eagles on five scoring drives throughout the game. The highlight of the evening came when running back Montrell Johnson broke through for a 15-yard touchdown run, contributing significantly to the Eagles' lead.
Despite the Eagles holding a comfortable 19-3 advantage at one point, the Jets mounted a late-game rally. Quarterback Adrian Martinez took charge and orchestrated two consecutive scoring drives, bringing the Jets back into contention. The tension escalated when running back Donovan Edwards plunged into the end zone for a 1-yard touchdown, narrowing the gap to just two points with 3:07 remaining on the clock.
Ultimately, the Eagles managed to hold off the Jets, securing a hard-fought victory as both teams continue to evaluate their rosters ahead of the regular season.
