Barcelona XI vs Valencia – Predicted lineup and team news

Barcelona are preparing for their next La Liga test as they host Valencia on Sunday, with the team looking to keep their perfect start to the season alive. Hansi Flick's side have been in excellent form, winning all of their opening matches, and they will be eager to maintain that momentum in front of their home supporters.

The German coach is expected to stick with a similar lineup to the one that has delivered results so far. Marc-Andre ter Stegen will continue in goal, protected by a back four that has looked solid. Jules Kounde and Alejandro Balde are likely to occupy the full-back positions, while Pau Cubarsi and Inigo Martinez should partner at centre-back.

In midfield, the combination of Marc Casado and Pedri has worked well, providing both defensive cover and creative spark. Dani Olmo is expected to start in a more advanced role, linking up with the front line. Robert Lewandowski leads the attack, with Lamine Yamal and Raphinha providing width and pace on the wings.

There are a few injury concerns for Barcelona. Frenkie de Jong remains sidelined with an ankle issue, while Gavi is still working his way back to full fitness after a long layoff. Ronald Araujo is also unavailable due to a hamstring problem. However, the squad depth has been sufficient so far, and Flick will trust his available options.

Valencia, on the other hand, have struggled early in the season and will be desperate to pick up points. They have yet to record a win and will need to tighten up defensively if they are to get anything from this match. Barcelona will be heavy favourites, but derby games can often produce surprises.

Kickoff is scheduled for the evening, and all eyes will be on whether Barcelona can continue their flawless run. With key players in form and a strong bench, the home side will be confident of securing another three points.
