49ers Part Ways with Coach Brian Griese
February 26, 2025 - 12:17
When the 49ers announced their full coaching staff for 2025, one name was conspicuously absent. Brian Griese, who served as the team's quarterbacks coach, will not be returning for the upcoming season. This decision comes as a surprise to many fans and analysts, as Griese played a crucial role in the development of the team's quarterbacks over the past season.
Griese joined the 49ers coaching staff in 2021 and quickly made an impact, helping to refine the skills of both veteran and rookie quarterbacks. Under his guidance, the team's offensive performance improved significantly, leading to a successful campaign. However, the organization has opted to go in a different direction, prompting speculation about the future of the team's offensive strategy.
While the 49ers have not provided detailed reasons for Griese's departure, the move signals a potential shift in their approach to player development and coaching philosophy. Fans and analysts alike will be watching closely to see how this change affects the team's performance in the upcoming season.
